Before the first episode of Smallville this year, there was a group attempting to get the term #Smallville to be listed as one of the top 10 trending topics on the Twitter homepage. So I decided to do my part to help out. So I started preparing posts to make about Smallville. I thought I would combine those Twitter posts and post them below.
Some of the punctuation may be off a bit, but chalk that up to the fact that I had to keep my posts under 140 characters for Twitter. Each line below represents a separate post on Twitter, and each one needed to include "#Smallville" in order to help get the term to trend. I did not include the "re-tweets" that I added as the night went along.
Apologies to those who don't care, but I'm going to help #Smallville trend on Twitter tonight, which will require multiple posts.
So I'll be posting up with several different tweets all with #Smallville in them somewhere. I've been planning this for four days.
The last time I helped #Smallville trend was in November, which was a big episode, and the last episode of the year (We suceeded!)
#Smallville and #Mythbusters are my 2 favorite shows on TV. I also like #Heroes and #DirtyJobs with Mike Rowe.

Tonight marks the first new #Smallville of the year (and the decade), and a return after more than two months off.
#Smallville airs on the CW at 8 p.m. Eastern Friday nights (that's tonight!) That would be channel 4 WTTV here in Central Indiana.
For those not aware, #Smallville is a action-adventure/drama TV show about a young Clark Kent before he takes on the Superman persona.
Clark Kent is currently about 23 years old in #Smallville, although the actor who plays him is actually 32
Clark's birth planet is Krypton, and his birth name is Kal-El. We have seen Krypton a few times on #Smallville, even though it was destroyed
The name #Smallville comes from the DC comics and is the name of the town in Kansas were Clark Kent grew up
Earlier seasons took place almost entirely in the town of #Smallville, but lately they have spent most of their time in Metropolis
#Smallville stars Tom Welling as Clark Kent, Erica Durance as Lois Lane, Allison Mack as original character Chloe Sullivan
#Smallville also stars Justin Hartley as DC hero Green Arrow/Oliver Queen and Callum Blue as DC villain Major Zod
The final current regular character on #Smallville this season is original character Tess Mercer, played by Cassidy Freeman
Clark Kent and Chloe Sullivan are the only 2 #Smallville regular characters left from the first season. Lois Lane was added in season 4.
Past regular #Smallville characters included Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum), Lana Lang (Kristen Kruek), Henry "Jimmy" Olsen (Aaron Ashmore)
Martha Kent, Clark's adoptive mother will make a return visit later this season on #Smallville. She was played by Annette O'Toole.
The character of Jonathan Kent died of a heart attack in season 5 in #Smallville. He was played by John Schneider, from Dukes of Hazzard.
Side note: One #Smallville season 5 episode reunited John Schnieder with Dukes' co-star Tom Wopat and a 1969 Dodge Charger.
Tonight's #Smallville episode will feature Elise Gatien as DC sidekick Mia Deardon/Speedy and Steve Bacic as DC villain Dark Archer
#Smallville is currently in its 9th season, and there are strong indications it will be back for a 10th season, although that's not offcial
Of course, the big #Smallville event is the two-hour TV movie scheduled for next week (Feb. 5) at 8 - "Smallville: Absolute Justice".
The #Smallville movie will feature Clark meeting several members of the Justice Society of America
Characters expected on next week's #Smallville include DC heroes Doctor Fate, Stargirl, and Hawkman, with several additional references.
The #Smallville TV movie was written by comics writer Geoff Johns, who wrote an episode last year featuring the Legion of Superheroes.
Previous DC heroes to be on #Smallville include Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg, Zantanna, Black Canary, Supergirl and Martian Manhunter.
DC has not allowed Batman to be on #Smallville yet, although Green Arrow is a similar character in many ways.
Previous DC villains on #Smallville include Lex Luthor, Doomsday, Brainiac, Toyman, Maxima, Metallo, Morgan Edge, and Mxyzptlk
#Smallville first aired in 2001 and originally had Clark Kent as a freshman in high school
At that time on #Smallville, Clark had the powers of speed, strength, and invulnerability. Other powers have been added over the years.
Clark in #Smallville has most of Superman's powers except a big one... he is unable to fly, although he did fly once in season 4.
More traits that Clark lacks in #Smallville is he doesn't wear glasses, nor does he have a cape.
#Smallville typically had Clark dress in red, blue and/or yellow, but this season, he has spent a lot of time in black
I don't care for Clark's black look in #Smallville It makes him look too much like Batman
Last season on #Smallville Clark was caught on camera saving a person, but he was moving so fast, he only showed up as a blur
#Smallville consequently gave him the nickname "The Red-Blue Blur", since that is all the picture showed
Before then, most of Clark's saves on #Smallville were attributed to coincidences, lucky breaks, and miracles.
This season on #Smallville, since he isn't wearing red and blue anymore, he is known simply as "The Blur"
Lois Lane and Clark Kent are both working at the Daily Planet in #Smallville although they aren't the star reporters yet.
One season-long story arc in #Smallville involves a group of Kryptonians on Earth who have lost their powers. They are led by Major Zod.
Zod in #Smallville is becoming obsessed with getting the powers they should have, and sees Clark as the key.
#Smallville introduced Green Arrow in season 6, although he was only an occasional character until last season, when he was made a regular.
Green Arrow seemingly killed #Smallville villain Lex Luthor last season. He has been feeling very guilty about that this season.
I have a feeling that the guilt Green Arrow feels will be a factor heavily in tonight's #Smallville episode.
Green Arrow's secret identity is Oliver Queen, whose billionaire parents died when he was a child, as seen in the #Smallville pilot episode
Green Arrow doesn't have any superpowers, but he dresses in green and uses many different specialty arrows on #Smallville.
I've been watching #Smallville since the pilot episode, and I own the first seven seasons on DVD
There have been several actors on #Smallville with previous connections to Superman
Former #Smallville regular Annette O'Toole played Clark's high school crush Lana Lang in the movie Superman III.
Christopher Reeve, who was Superman in four movies, was on #Smallville for 2 episodes in seasons 2 and 3 before his death.
Margot Kidder, who was Lois Lane in four movies, was in two #Smallville season 4 epsiodes. Her character was killed off.
Dean Cain, who was Clark in the Lois & Clark TV series in the 1990s, was on an episode of #Smallville in season 7. Maybe he'll return
Terrance Stamp, who played Gen. Zod in the first two movies, has a recurring role as the voice of Clark's biological father in #Smallville
Marc McClure, who played Jimmy Olsen in the four Superman films and the Supergirl film, also was on #Smallville in season 7.
Helen Slater, who was Supergirl in the movie of the same name, played Lara, Clarks biological mother, on #Smallville in season 7
Michael Ironside, who voiced Superman villain Darkseid in the 1990s animated series, played Lois Lane's father in #Smallville.
Another superhero connection, Lynda Carter, who was Wonder Woman from the TV series, played Chloe's mom on #Smallville in season 6.
Some big things are planned for the remainder of the #Smallville season, although none bigger than next week's 2-hour movie.
Michael McKean is scheduled to return to #Smallville as Perry White. White is known in the comics as the editor of the Daily Planet.
Perry White was last seen on #Smallville back in season 3, although his byline has been shown a few times since then.
The DC hero Zantanna is scheduled to return to #Smallville in a couple of weeks. Her first appearance was last season.
Pam Grier will be on several upcoming #Smallville episodes as DC character Amanda Waller.
Brian Austin Green, who played DC villain Metallo in 2 episodes earlier this season, will be returning later in the season.
