Inkscape is an open-source graphics design program, similar to Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator. It is also similar to OpenOffice.org Draw (which is on this CD), but Inkscape is more powerful.

It won't help you with your photos, but if you want to create a logo or a design graphics for a webpage or brochure or something along those lines, then this program may help, especially if you think OpenOffice.org Draw is too limiting.

The main advantage to Inkscape is it works with scalable vector graphics, meaning the graphics can be resized to nearly any size, from really small to extremely huge, without degrading the graphic quality.

Inkscape runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac OSX.
