I start with the finished product because the gallery preview shows the first photo in the gallery. After this, it is best to take the "tour" in order because one picture may build on something that occurred in the picture or pictures before.

Here is a layout of our house. The picture is a house that has a similar floorplan to the one we built.

March 6, 2003 - Here is where we started, an empty field. Out lot is out there somewhere.

May 26, 2003 - The field is now bunch of dirt. You can see where a road has been graded away. The sad thing is in February, we were told that our house might start being framed in late May.

May 26, 2003 - In addition to some moved dirt, there are some indications that construction is underway.

June 29, 2003 - The area is still a bunch of dirt. When we started this process back in October, 2002, we were told that our frame would be starting about now. Obviously, that didn't happen.

June 26, 2003 - We do find our lot for the first time, however. This stake shows the front corner of where our lot will eventually be.

June 26, 2003 - Gayle is standing in the back of our lot with me standing in the front of the lot. This helps give an idea on how big the lot is, although it looks bigger in this picture.

July 26, 2003 - Progress! I felt a bit foolish taking a picture of a fire hydrant, but then, this was the first completed item we saw in the subdivision other than dirt.

July 26, 2003 - A few steps farther and we saw the second sign of completion, a drain. Again, I felt a bit foolish taking this picture, but this was a significant improvement over what we saw before.

July 26, 2003 - And a few steps later, a curb. Our enthusiasm on this trip out to the site knew no bounds.
